Aito instances are billed on a monthly basis using major credit cards. Currently, we support Master Card, Visa, Diners Club, American Express and Maestro cards.

For enterprise customers with multiple instances and pre-paid commitments, we can also offer invoice payment method. Contact us for details.

An Aito instance is a hosted environment that runs the predictive database for you, within the constraints of your subscribed plan. Your data is always isolated and belongs only to you.

Sandbox runs on shared multi-tenant infrastructure — ideal for evaluation and prototypes. Dev and Prod are dedicated instances with guaranteed resources. Typically our customers use Dev for development and testing, and Prod for use cases that run continuously.

If, however, you wish to cancel your paid plan, you can do it anytime and your billing stops there. However, we do not return funds for the ongoing period.

Storage is the total amount of disk space used for your raw data uploaded to Aito, PLUS the index generated and maintained for that data. Size of the index can vary significantly in size. In order for Aito to be able to do ad-hoc modelling we index the data very liberally, and almost everything is included.

Long free text columns, with language analysers, are the typical culprit for large index size. These add a lot of features, so they also take up a lot of space.

Typically the index size is 2x - 5x the size of the raw data, but this varies significantly from case to case. We’re working to bring better tools for monitoring the usage, but so far you can only see the daily max in the console.

For self-service instances we don't offer a contractual Service Level Agreement, just our best promise that it will work most of the time, and we are very careful with the updates. We are Finns by heart and we take accountability seriously.

Aito uses your data only to build the index and serve your queries. We don't use it for anything else. Your data is yours, not ours.

Your data is always isolated per instance and never shared with other customers, even on shared Sandbox infrastructure.

This applies to Sandbox and Dev instances only. Prod runs 24/7.

It means the maximum hours your instance is available per every 24h starting from midnight EET (that is Finnish time). Sandbox has availability of 3h and Dev has 12h.

Once you stop making queries, after timeout period (30 or 60 mins) your instance goes to sleep. If you make more queries after, there is a warmup time to get alles in ordnung again. Once daily active time is used the instance is all Sleeping Beauty until midnight EET. Past that, it will only wake up with your first call again.

Each instance type has it's own monthly API call quota. Every request to Aito API counts towards the quota. These requests might happen through several means: you directly making data API or query API requests to Aito, by using Console (which btw uses the same API that we have exposed to all the users) or by using Python SDK.

The quota means the total number of requests you can perform in a calendar month period. This limit resets at UTC midnight the day of instance creation. Once the quota is reached, you'll receive an error (HTTP status 429) for any request.
